![]() Sunseeker International recently announced its most ambitious and exciting project to date - the Sunseeker 105 Yacht - putting the privately, family owned Motoryacht manufacturer first on the map in the UK to break the one hundred-foot mark. Since Sunseeker International entered the Superyacht market with the Predator and Manhattan 80, demand for larger sized Motoryachts has surpassed all expectations. Due to this demand a larger namesake, the Manhattan 84 was launched at the Southampton International Boat Show 1999, extending the number of luxury features already available on Sunseeker Motoryachts. Up to the end of 1999 Sunseeker International manufactured twenty-five Motoryachts in the 80' range and four of the new flagship Manhattan 84. Sunseeker International, which employs 900 staff, annually produces more semi-custom production built Superyachts than any other manufacturer in the world. The waiting list for the Manhattan 84 currently stands at approximately eighteen months, and orders have already been taken for larger Sunseeker Superyachts. The Sunseeker 105 Yacht will be manufactured at a new purpose-built factory, the 'Sunseeker International Shipyard' near existing facilities in Poole. This site has recently been purchased to accommodate this production, and will be operational by Spring 2000. The 105 Yacht has been designed with three different concept arrangements, which allow this semi-custom Yacht to suit individual needs and lifestyle habits. Accommodation is for eight to ten guests, depending on preferred layout, plus four crew. The design choices consist of a Grand Saloon Option, which has a large saloon area, and separate dining facilities, all on the same deck. The Saloon/Dining Option affords additional stateroom accommodation, and the Split-Level Owners Stateroom layout has a sumptuous suite with private lounge area. The British built 105 Yacht will be launched Autumn 2000 and will take the market by storm with its cutting edge look, design and performance, up to an estimated top speed of 30 knots, subject to engine configuration. Engine options include twin MTU V16 1826PS (1343kw/1800hp). Only the world's largest privately owned and managed Motoryacht manufacturer could integrate the latest materials and technology together with the best design and construction methods available to produce this remarkable British achievement. Robert Braithwaite MBE, Managing Director of Sunseeker International said: "Later this year we will be proud to launch the Sunseeker 105 Yacht. To do this properly we have invested substantially to develop this craft and to build a dedicated facility to house its production." Image supplied by Sunseeker International Ltd who retain
